Facilities and Services

Dunrovin Ranch is located in the high Sonoran desert about 35 miles northeast of Phoenix. The ranch is 660’ from State land and Tonto National Forest. There is spectacular riding.

On the facility are three round pens, two mare motels with eight stalls in each motel, several stand-alone stalls and ample, fenced turn-out areas. Each horse, and his/her individual needs are tended  to with your specific instructions. There are three feedings per day, one at 7:30AM, one at 2:30PM and one at 9:30PM. Staff lives on-site so special supplements or meds can be administered as needed. All horses are turned out regularly as their social abilities allow. Stalls are cleaned at least once daily, often twice per day.

Directions

Dunrovin Ranch is located in a remote area, off the New River Road, just north of Anthem off I17. The roads are rutted and primitive. The staff would be happy to meet you at an easy-to-find location and guide you in for a tour. If you would like to drive by and have a look for yourself before you have a guided tour, the directions are as follows: From I17 North, take the New River exit and turn right from the off ramp. From I17 South, take the same exit and turn left. Go to the stop sign and turn left on to the I17 Frontage Road. Go just a short distance and take the right at the Roadrunner Restaurant on to New River Road. Proceed up New River Road just over three miles and go left on to Fig Springs Road (third left after a sweeping, well-marked curve to the left). Go just a short distance down Fig Springs Road and turn right on to Wolf Trap Road, the dirt road just after the first cluster of mailboxes. Though you may think so, you are probably not lost. This is a somewhat primitive road that goes through several washes. Be smart during times of heavy rain.  After about two-tenths of a mile, follow the jog in the road to the left. After this jog, you will see the red roof of our barn and office off to your left. Take the next fork to the left and follow the road. The facility is on your right, but do not take the first road to the right before the steel fence and the barn and office. Go by the facility and take the right turn that is after it. If you miss the turn, the road dead-ends.
